Supporting the Global Village

Project Imo Partners

We can't do it alone. Supporting a vast Global Village of education and community connections is a monumental task.

Our partners not only grow our Village, they collaborate on programs and change the world. One experience with nature at a time.

Community Partners

Impact

Our Community Partners not only share a vision , they provide valuable support and connections across all of our programs. Each year their support provides positive impact upon hundreds of lives, bridges communities, and creates new stewards of the natural world.

Partner with Imo

Partnership starts with a simple question. Does this speak to my organization's values? If that answer is yes, then that's all it takes. Partnering with Project Imo does not require any partnership fees or in-kind support. It takes mission-alignment, shared values, and an enduring desire to make the world a better place.  Our partner organizations and their members receive discounted enrollment in Project Imo programs and events, recognition on our Village Voices podcast if desired, and our lasting gratitude.

Project Imo is thrilled to have a partnership with Connecticut’s premier day camp, wedding, and event center- Holiday Hill Day Camp and Recreation Center of Mansfield Center.  Holiday Hill has been providing lifelong learning and unforgettable experiences for young and old alike for over 60 years. Several members of Team Imo have deep, deep roots in “The Hill” and we are just beside-ourselves-excited to have a new home-away-from-home. Holiday Hill will be hosting some of our in-person programming this year. Their facilities and location are simply perfect for our mission. At Holiday Hill we host wilderness and primitive skills workshops, teambuilding experiences, wilderness emergency medicine classes, and so much more. Holiday Hill is situated across the street from access into hiking trails at Mansfield Hollow State Park. Stop by their website at  https://www.holidayrecreation.com/

Stone Age Man & Untamed Science

StoneAgeMan is about finding a way to reconnect again with nature and rooting yourself in the natural world so that you can

live healthier and happier.

For the last 20 years, Rob has worked as a biologist and wildlife educator with the goal of reconnecting people with nature. While in grad school in Hawaii he studied behavioral ecology. As a side job he spent years working part time leading nature tours – teaching about the wildlife, the land, and the natural history that made the islands so unique. These were the first sparks that would lead to what is now StoneAgeMan.

Rob is an amazing thought partner and kindred spirit to the Project Imo mission.  Be sure to stop by StoneAgeMan for tremendous learning and advanced wilderness expedition courses!

SNG Woodworks

Stone Age Man & Untamed Science

After learning how important storytelling was in education, Rob started a second graduate program in Montana studying science and natural history filmmaking. With this new path, he combined his love for the natural world, with powerful visual documentaries. He’s gathered over 4 dozen filmmaking awards for his work including an Emmy for his work with Untamed Science. He’s also hosted some 24 television shows, including Secrets of the Underground, Life After Chernobyl, and Man Eating Python of Sulawesi. But none of this told the exact stories he wanted to tell. That’s why we have StoneAgeMan, a way to combine filmmaking with in-person

training of our future elders!

We've partnered with our friends at StoneAgeManand UntamedScience to incorporate immersive, expert content that helps connect to nature learning. Rob Nelson is an Emmy Award winning tv host, filmmaker and biologist who is also just an awesome educator! Be sure to check out his survival courses, world biomes site, and science videos to see

 more of Rob's work.

SNG Woodworks is an official supplier of our Place-based and Ancestral Skills program stock!

SNG has a love for the outdoors and has been working with a family tree service for decades. Using sustainable and ethical forestry practices, SNG Woodworks puts to good use trees that are no longer planted in the ground.

SNG's stock is used to help our program participants connect with ancestral skills that our species has used to survive for hundreds of millennia.

Their generosity is helping to fund programs for under-resourced groups!
